Information

Łomnica Palace is a beautiful baroque building located in Łomnica Dolna, about 25 kilometers from the city of Szklarska Poręba and about 5 kilometers from Jelenia Góra. The building consists of a garden, the main palace and the Widows' House. The Widows' House was built in 1803–1804 by Christian Gottfried Mentzl. After the war, the house was intended for residential and utility purposes. Currently, the facility houses a hotel, restaurant and cafe. However, in the main building, visitors can admire exhibitions of works by Lower Silesian artists. In the rooms on the ground floor, large fragments of wall paintings from the beginning of the 18th and 19th centuries have survived. It houses also the Association for the Nurturing of Silesian Culture and Art, which is still developing.
