Information

The Municipal Palm House in Gliwice was established in 1924, although the first greenhouses in the park were erected as early as 1880. Since then, a lot has changed in this place and now the whole thing has a very modern look, which makes a huge impression on tourists from the outside. The entire Palm House covers as much as 2,000 m2 and is divided into five themed pavilions. The first pavilion includes useful plants, the second one, exotic plants. There is a wide variety of vegetation, including even carnivorous plants. The third pavilion is called the historical pavilion, and the fourth one is home to a large variety of succulents. This is probably one of the few opportunities to see so many species of cacti in one place. In these four pavilions, apart from the amazing vegetation, there are also canaries and parrots (they are in cages), terrariums with various reptiles, and aquariums with turtles and rays. The fifth pavilion is a typical aquarium pavilion and it was opened to the public in 2012. The largest reservoir is the Amazon aquarium, where you will meet arapaimas - one of the largest freshwater fish, up to 3 meters long. There are LCD monitors next to the aquariums, which have an educational function and thanks to which you will learn more about the individual species of fish.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
