The Museum of Sanitary Technology in Gliwice presents the latest technologies, exhibits and processes related to the work of the sewage treatment plant and the laboratory. It is located in Gliwice at 16 Tomasza Edisona street in the building of a pumping station from the beginning of the 20th century on the premises of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant.The tour begins with an overview film showing exactly the technology of wastewater treatment. After the show, the participants of the trip are shown around the facilities of the sewage treatment plant. The final obiect of the visit is the administrative and technical building with the facilities of the plant's water and sewage laboratory, dispatch room and technical service offices of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. The sightseeing program, in addition to the unique exhibits of the former plant, such as pumps, compressors, gate valves, valves, columns and pipes, also provides for the introduction of tourists to modern facilities and devices of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (including a laboratory and a fully automated control room). Visitors will alsoearn about the interesting history of the development of the sewerage system in Gliwice, see the sanitary fittings of our grandmothers' bathrooms, a wooden washing machine, mysterious antique devices from the end of the 19th century, unique exhibits of the former plant and technical pipes of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. The museum also has a conference room with a kitchenette and a projection room, where meetings and industry conferences can be held using the latest audiovisual techniques. The Museum of Sanitary Technology in Gliwice is one of the attractions of the Silesian Industrial Monuments Route.
