The Museum of the Earth (Polish: Muzeum Ziemii w Warszawie) is a multi-section museum that collects and protects geological heritage, conducts research and documentation, and conducts extensive activities in the field of popularizing Earth sciences and disseminating natural knowledge. The museum collections currently number over 190,000 items. They include collections of minerals and rocks, meteorites, fossil flora and fauna from the territory of Poland and other regions of the world, as well as valuable archives on the history of Earth sciences. The museum also boasts a rich collection of Baltic amber and other fossil resins (over 29.5 thousand specimens). The Earth Museum is housed in two historic buildings, the Branicki Palace from the mid-19th century, and a villa from the 1930s, rebuilt from a Masonic lodge.
