The palace in Kamień Śląski in the Opole region is a beautiful 17th-century building that was built on the site of the former stronghold and castle. For centuries it was known as the seat of great knightly and noble families. The fame of this place was primarily influenced by the birth of St. Jacek in the Kamien castle. Throughout his life, he was a symbol of humility and love. He was a missionary and belonged to the Dominican Order, was born in the palace in 1183. Currently, the palace houses the sanctuary of St. Jacek, which is very famous among tourists and pilgrims. From the beginning of the 18th century to the sanctuary thousands of pilgrims came every year. The sanctuary is located in the center of a beautiful landscape park, just behind an atmospheric pond with fountains. The property impresses visitors. The walls of the huge two-story hall are decorated with handcrafted tapestries with the coats of arms of the previous owners.
