“Nalewka” is an alcoholic drink deeply rooted in Polish history. It’s a tincture and it is similar to vodka, but it is not produced through alcohol distillation. Usually home- made, it is made from spirits that is poured over fruits, herbs, honey, flowers, nuts, roots or even porter beer! This abundance of recipes originates from Polish noble families, where nalewki were made by women for medical purposes. We will show you this abundance of tastes during our event. To engage your guests, we stage a tasting contest. The teams will need to guess the ingredient and alcohol content of 4 nalewki. The winners are the team with the most accurate answers. Naturally, the winners get a liquid prize. Secret recipes, unique combinations passed on through generations – these are the stories hidden in our selected nalewki.
To make tasting experience as authentic as possible, we have travelled to the production sites and personally spoke to the producers. We will take your guests on a similar story with our photo slideshow. The team with the most accurate guesses will get a unique prize – collector’s mini bottles of nalewka in 23 available tastes – one bottle per each team member. Such a prize is easily shareable among the team members and can be taken home in hand luggage.
The event is best suited for foreign visitors wishing to experience local traditions. It takes place in one venue making it a perfect attraction at seated dinners and similar corporate events.
