The Pottery Tradition Center in Chałupki was established in 1998. It is the only center of this type in Poland. It consists of two parts - exhibition and workshop. The exhibition part presents clay products manufactured in Chałupki. Pottery products of local masters of this craft deserve special attention (including Głuszków, Możdżyński, Wojowie). Moreover, visitors can see figural ceramics. Both interesting figures of saints and dishes - pots, jugs, plates, pans, pots, double or triple - make an impression. There is also the most important souvenir and the oldest vessel - a jug made by Antonina and Józef in 1944. In the second part of the center there is an authentic, two-chamber pottery kiln, as well as devices and tools necessary in the production process. Visitors will learn about the history of pottery in this area and the methods of obtaining raw materials for production. They will also learn about the process of creating vessels, from clay shaping, through shaping, decorating and firing, to glazing.
