Information

Roztoczański National Park is the land of Polish pony. It was created in 1947 and its symbol is of course the pony. The park is situated in central Poland in lubelskie region. It covers the most precious natural areas of Roztocze region. The park area is 8 483 hectares, 95.5 % of it are forests. The park is famous for breeding Polish ponies which has here their own 180 hectares area where they live practically without human interventions. The park has two educational centers Izba Leśna (Forest Chamber) and Educational-Museum Center in Zwierzyniec. Tourist also often visit the 18th century church on water in Zwierzyniec, Plenipotentiary Palace and Echo Ponds.
