Information

The castle in Rydzyna was built at the end of the 17th century on the walls of the Gothic castle from the first years of the 15th century. Together with the park and adjacent areas, it was the most magnificent aristocratic residence in Greater Poland. Its first owners were the Leszczyńskis family. In the interwar period, the Castle was the seat of the Sułkowski Secondary School, well-known throughout Poland. It was burnt down in 1945. It was restored to its former glory by the Association of Polish Engineers and Technicians (SIMP). Currently, the Castle in Rydzyna houses a hotel and a conference center. In addition, cultural events are organized in the castle interiors, such as the famous New Year's Concerts, international rallies of vintage vehicles, and even historic outdoor events. Interesting art and nature collections are exhibited in historical halls. The interiors of the castle can be visited with a guide. The park surrounding the castle is open to the public. In the park, there is a historic pavilion of the former Court Shooting Range from the 18th century with a specially prepared place for a bonfire.
