Information

The Zwierzyniec Brewery is a brewery with a long history dating back to the 17th century. It is located in a historic building from the 19th century. The brewery operated continuously until 1914, when the war and the lack of raw materials resulted in the closure of the enterprise. In 1922, the company resumed operations, was renovated and modernized. After World War II, it was taken over by the state. In the 1980s, Zwierzyniec was incorporated into Breweries in Lublin. Finally, in 2013, a new production line was installed and new beers were brewed shortly thereafter. The brewery complex in Zwierzyniec consists of two parts separated by Browarna Street - the old brewery and the new brewery. The old brewery is primarily a 19th century historic horseshoe-shaped main building. It includes, among others, former fermentation plant with open vats and old brewhouse. The main building is also adjacent to the former fire station, several farm buildings and workshops. The most characteristic of them is the historic concierge at the main gate. The new brewery is a complex of industrial facilities erected during the last modernization and expansion of the brewing plant in Zwierzyniec (1960s, 1970s and 1980s). Until 2010, the production departments of the storage room and bottling plant were located there. In 2013, a new brewery production line was installed in these buildings, with a capacity of 34,000 hl per year.
