Information

The observation tower on Borowa mountain is a new attraction on the map of Lower Silesia, which was opened at the end of 2017. Borowa is the highest peak of the Wałbrzych Mountains, as well as the city of Wałbrzych. Its height is 853 m above sea level, but due to the steep slopes and considerable prominence, it seems to be higher than it really is. It is located within the Wałbrzych Sudety Landscape Park. The observation tower is 16.5 meters high. 30 tons of steel and 50 cubic meters of concrete were used for its construction. There are 90 spiral stairs leading to the top of the tower. At a height of 15.3 meters there is an observation deck limited by a railing. On the observation deck there are information boards that make it much easier to recognize the admired peaks. From the tower tourists can see, among others, the Wałbrzych Mountains, the Karkonosze Mountains, the Suche Mountains, the Ślęża Massif and the Sowie Mountains. They can also see Wałbrzych and Jedlina-Zdrój, and with good visibility, even the Wrocław Sky Tower. In addition to the observation tower, a large shelter was built on the top, information boards, tables and benches where tourists can rest.
