Information

Trzy Korony (Eng. Three Crowns) is, next to Sokolica, the most spectacular peak in the Pieniny and at the same time one of the symbols of the region. The characteristic rocky crown is made up of five top crags. The highest of them is Okrąglica, 983 m high. There is a viewing platform on it, which offers a beautiful panorama of the Dunajec valley, Beskid Sądecki, Gorce and Tatra Mountains. There are several trails of a similar difficulty level leading to Trzy Korony. The summit is available at any time of the year. The most popular routes start in Sromowce Niżne, Krościenko nad Dunajcem and in Szczawnica. The chosen route may take from 3.5 to even 6 hours. The route from Szczawnica is the longest, but also the most varied. You can combine the trip to Trzy Korony with conquering Sokolica, visiting the ruins of the Pieniny Castle, resting in Sromowce Niżne, visiting the charming center of Krościenko on the Dunajec River.
