Information

The observation tower at the top of Wielka Czantoria is almost thirty meters high. The mountain is the highest peak of the Cieszyn Beskids. The mountain ridge forms the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. The Wielka Czantoria Mountain (995m) is shrouded in legends. According to one of them, the inside of the mountain is asleep and the army is alert to defend the local land and its people. It was this legend that was the reason for the creation of the educational Knight's Path. The total length of the path is 20 km, of which 10 km on the Czech side and 10 km on the Polish side. In the middle of the area there is a border trail with a shelter on Mała Czantoria and a lookout tower at the top. There is a restaurant next to the tower. The views from the lookout tower extend to the two countries mentioned above, as well as to Slovakia. From the top of the observation tower on Czantoria Wielka you can admire the village of Nýdek and the Moravian-Silesian Beskids, in good weather conditions you can also see the Jeseníky Mountains on the horizon. In the direction of Slovakia there is the region of Kysuce, in the distance you can see the Tatra Mountains. The spa town of Ustroń and the Vistula river valley stretch towards Poland.
