Information

The Wielkopolska Museum of Firefighting in Rakoniewice has been operating since 1974. It collects over 4,000 exhibits that illustrate the history and traditions of the Fire Service. It is located in the historic Evangelical church from 1763. In the museum, on the ground floor, there are fire engines with the oldest horse-drawn boat from 1776. On the balconies of the post-Evangelical temple, visitors can see exhibits related to, among others, with the activities of voluntary fire brigades, as well as a collection of uniforms, helmets, medals and banners. There is also a large collection of posters and books on fire fighting. Heavy equipment and fire trucks are displayed in the exhibition halls. There are, among others fire trucks - from 1920 to decommissioned a few years ago. The most interesting are two Chevrolets from 1927 and 1929 and a bedford ladder from 1954.
