Książ Castle

Książ Castle

Książ Castle is especially interesting as it joins older history, as the construction started in the 13th century, and more recent history as it was largely changed during WWII. If you enjoy conspiracy theories of the human civilization, there is no other such place like Książ as digressions about Hitler purposes for Książ are numerous. During sightseeing of the castle, you will be able to see lots of alternations introduced by Nazi Germans. A...

Reviews

Topacz Museum is compact yet has vast and excellent selection of amazing cars. English automated briefing was also excellent! You have to see this!!! Former Mine complex is an interesting and immersive place. It was a fascinating insight into coal mining and the life of miners. Porcelain Museum also adds interesting dimension to Wałbrzych that is charming town. Do the tour!!! ITS Poland help was invaluable as our tour guide Magda was also our on board translator, wherever it was necessary. We would never get so much info without her.

The mine is one of those places, when you get more than you expect. It is brand new and sparkling (in most parts) cultural centre, where you can see millions spent over the years on polishing and cleaning every little surface. Our guide was one of only few miners, who did work in this mine. And that guy was absolutely great, he showed us everything and even more, and there were moment we thought we will never get out of there, as there was so much to see. Absolutely a must, when in Wałbrzych. Topacz collection isn't huge but there are some nice pieces. Also, on a 30+C day the air conditioning was much appreciated. A great visit for a car & motorbike enthusiast.
